Snowshoe tracks

This is what Deadman's Pond road in Gander looked like the morning I snowshoed that snow covered road. Note my snowshoe tracks in the left side of the picture. That morning was so crisp, sunny and clean air that I was in no hurry for the walk to be over. Just a wonderful, peaceful feeling!

Early morning silver thaw

The winter offers fantastic opportunities for some great pictures showing mother nature at her very best in art forms that can't be beat. The picture below was taken on a recent snowshoeing hike on Deadman's pond road, Gander showing a silver thaw on the bushes in the early morning sunlight.

Lunch Again

The snowshoeing hike to Gander Lake was very exhausting and we looked forward to having some refreshments and lunch. Here Clayt Hann and Gerry Gray enjoy the moment, nice camp fire going and surrounded by the beauty of nature

Gander Lake Hike

On January 10, 2008, Clayt Hann, Eric Button
and I hiked on a woods road located about 10kms East of Gander. This road was very good for snowshoeing, although the snow was very soft, making snowshoeing somewhat difficult. This pictureshows Eric Button and Clayt Hann making their way to Gander Lake, which is in the background. This turned out to be an adventure type picture showing the beauty of the snow season.
